With more cars on the road, our personal well-being and environment are being affected now more than ever. Cars have proven to be a real threat because of their irreconcilable and fundamental clash with public health. According to a CDC report, over 16,000 car accidents occur every day with 3,700 fatalities.
Not only does this impact the safety of people living in cities, but those who desire to live in harmony as a community. In order to make human habitats healthier and ensure the opportunity to enjoy outdoor spaces close to home and work, MaaS (Mobility as a Service) and Micro-Mobility is the best solution for the future.

What are MaaS and Micro Mobility?
MaaS is an emerging industry that shifts away from personally owned cars. It emphasizes the idea of a joint digital channel for different travel and mobility services. It’s estimated to be a $9.5 trillion industry by 2030, a clear indication of it’s potential.
On the other hand, Micro-Mobility is a means of traveling at or below 25 km/hr utilizing small, lightweight vehicles like e-bikes, bicycles, electric skateboards, and electric scooters.

Why are MaaS and Micro Mobility Important?
MaaS and Micro-Mobility are still emerging industries primarily due to a lack of support from city planners, failing infrastructure, and pushback from those unwilling to utilize other alternatives. It has become increasingly difficult to enjoy major events and attractions, such as a parade, art festival, or big sporting event due to accessibility limitations. It has become difficult or impossible to accommodate the increasing number of cars with limited parking.

Conclusion
Both MaaS and Micro-Mobility are better, cheaper, more efficient, and most importantly, safer alternatives to traditional cars. As a global community, we need a human habitat that is safe, healthier and works together. The most efficient and the best way is to adopt MaaS and Micro-Mobility alternatives.
