Electronomous - organised by Cartell.ie

Cartell.ie are the organisers and creators of Electronomous. Cartell was launched in 2006 to help motorists make an informed choice about the used vehicle they intended to buy. Cartell.ie is Ireland’s first and leading vehicle data supplier providing car history services to the trade and public.

Cartell.ie provides registration data to the Financial and Insurance industry. We are experts in car parts mapping for the aftermarket and we work with most of the major car manufacturers.

Following ten years of continued growth in Ireland, Cartell.ie expanded overseas and is a leader in vehicle data supply in Portugal, Malta and the UK. It has access to vehicle data on a global basis including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Spain, Holland, Sweden and Germany either directly or via its partner.

The suite of products continues to grow and Cartell.ie can now provide vehicle valuations and market intelligence guides to the entire service sites for BMW, Toyota and VW bringing speed and efficiency when getting a service quote.

Perhaps Cartell’s biggest achievements are enshrined in legislation. In 2007-08 Cartell.ie generated reports on how previously written off vehicles were making their way back on to Irish roads and how clocked vehicles endangered road safety.

These reports were submitted to the Road Safety Authority and three pieces of legislation were brought before the Dail. It is now illegal to clock a car in Ireland. All imports must undergo an NCT pre-registration check and in 2017 it will become mandatory to notify the government when vehicles are written off.
