Dance-Launches-Its-Full-Service-in-Berlin

Based in Berlin and looking for a sleek, seamless and sustainable commute? After a year of testing hardware, software and service components, biking in Berlin is about to become a lot more convenient with thousands of ebikes being wheeled out by Dance, a premium subscription service from the founders of SoundCloud Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss and Alexander Ljung, together with the co-founder Jimdo, Christian Springub.

By joining Dance, members can embrace a greener, more joyful method of transport thanks to Dance One, its first generation ebike. Built with a maximum speed of 25km/hr it is possible to pedal at ease with the removeable battery lasting up to 55km on a full charge. Along with its stylish custom aluminium diamond frame, the Dance One ebike boasts several safety features such as hydraulic disc brakes, carbon belt, front and rear lights and reflective sidewall stripes on the puncture-resistant tires.

However, according to CEO of Dance, Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss, it is not just the design-forward ebike which sets Dance apart, there is also “an on-demand repair and concierge service”. Access to on-demand services like personal delivery and RepairNow for repairs and maintenance via the easy-to-use app really adds to the appeal, while tech-types will appreciate the integrated Bluetooth lock that can be opened with a member’s mobile phone.

Caterina Kiehntopf, Dance’s new general manager, believes that, “Dances’s offering is compelling to the conscious consumer who is looking for a more active, mindful and beautiful way to travel.” Research shows urban residents who switched from driving to cycling for just one trip per day reduced their carbon footprint by about half a ton of carbon dioxide over the course of a year. Dance offers an opportunity to try a new, healthier way to commute outside of a car, while also adding to a greener and more liveable city. It also facilitates those who have always wanted to experience the benefits of ebikes without the investment of ownership, as the monthly subscription fee provides flexibility.

To sign up to this convenient, conscious commuting option, visit dance.co or join the social community on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn or follow #movewithdance.

Not living in Berlin? Don’t worry, the company’s mission is to create more liveable cities centred around communities of people, not traffic and plan to offer this premium ebike subscription service in other cities soon.
