The shift to electric is accelerating at pace, but some key challenges lie ahead before the full adoption of EV for Fleets, Cities, Municipalities and personal mobility.

In one of our 15 tracks at The International Mobility Summit (12-13 October 2022, Bella Center Copenhagen), we will look at the key challenges for Zero Emissions transport.

Are supply chain issues, charging challenges and costs going to slow down the adoption of EV’s going forward? Can battery technology and recycling help to make this transition more sustainable?

Over the course of the two days of the event, we will look at many of these questions and many more. We are continuing to add global thought-leaders and leading voices to these discussions. Reach out to us if you feel your organization has an important message on these topics.

3. THE GREEN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION BEGINS IN NORTHERN EUROPE

Northern Europe have strong civil, political and economic forces dedicated to the green transition, and the technologies that will define our sustainable future are emerging faster and in greater numbers in the STRING megaregion, than anywhere else on the planet. Our ever-increasing focus on sustainable development has created an internal market, which offers fertile ground to prove business models in green industrial solutions. But there is one big challenge; individually, the innovative green growth centres in Northern Europe are too small to act independently on the global scene as main drivers of sustainable development and local and regional investment agencies are competing to attract international investments.

4. THE FUTURE OF ELECTRIC BOATS

In the evolution of an industry that has remained steadfast in its traditions, for better or for worse. With new technology, innovative research, smart design and sustainable materials, XShore embraces the long tradition of maritime craftsmanship while discarding the dirty institution of fossil fuels. They don’t see themselves as disrupters. They are not here to reinvent the wheel, but rather to right the ship. To set a course for long-term sustainability that we can all be proud of.

Helena Fagraeus Lundström, Chief Sustainability and Strategy Officer at Xshore

5. SHIFTING BUS FLEETS TO ZERO EMISSONS

Cities around the world are introducing electric buses, driven by growing concerns over urban air quality, carbon emissions and potential operational cost savings. But what are the challenges for cities, transport operators and how do we overcome them to smooth the transition?
