LONDON – 23 FEBRUARY 2021, 09:00 AM GMT Humanising Autonomy, a behaviour AI company, today announced their vision-based Behaviour AI Platform has reached 1 billion analysed human behaviours, making it larger than all publicly available datasets in industry combined. The dataset is based on over 200 million people. Since the company’s inception in 2017, the platform has been deployed in over twenty urban environments, four different continents, encompasses twenty detection type classes (such as cyclists and eScooter users), a whole range of behaviours relevant to specific applications like mobility and factory robotics. These include everything from awareness and intent, to persons crossing the road. The platform has identified over 22,000 high-risk scenarios. Proprietary behaviour features are gathered from ubiquitous video data to encompass the largest, most diverse dataset of human behaviours available.

The company’s Behaviour AI Platform is a low power, modular software solution that understands the full spectrum of human behaviour for nuanced, fast and accurate analytics of video data. Through edge and cloud applications of the software, any system with a camera is able to respond to future, present and past human behaviour. Backed by the largest, most diverse dataset of human behaviours available, the company’s platform can enable advanced human perception in any environment or industry – with the solution available now for immediate deployment for automotive, dash camera, manufacturing, robotics and smart city applications.

Said chief product officer Leslie Nooteboom, “In the journey to 1 billion, we’ve come to recognise the sheer volume of human behaviours that machines need to understand for genuine, intuitive interaction with people.” He continued, “As our dataset continues to grow, so does our ability to learn from real time deployments what new behaviours need to be trained. The accuracy of our models becomes stronger each day – we’re excited to bring the benefits of our platform to several new industries this year, and continuously improve our product.”

Ethical AI is at the core of Humanising Autonomy. The company envisions an ethical society in which the value of machines is measured by how well they promote the safety and well-being of people. Humanising Autonomy puts privacy first and does not identify, track or trace individuals.  Personal data is never shared with third parties; and is pseudonymised for data analytics.  The interpretability of the company’s technology, and company policy enables appropriate diversity, equality and inclusion within its dataset, as well as the application of the technology.
