The year the MobilityX weekend which follows on from Electronomous will be an action-packed VIP weekend (3rd-5th May) for speakers and invited guests from the  world’s automotive industry. The VIP weekend will transport you to the most scenic spots on the West Coast of Ireland and will include activities such as kitesurfing, mountain biking and Stand Up Paddleboarding. 

The MobilityX VIP Weekend Package 

Kicking off right after the conference, on Friday 3rd at 12pm. Designed for Executives, Policy makers, and Transportation Authorities, this weekend will be a private event designed to help you get to know some of the most innovative executives in the self driving industry. Places on this event are limited to a small number of VPs, Founders, Investors, CEOs and other invited guests from the Industry. It is an opportunity to get to know some of the best people in the industry, while also relaxing in the beautiful Killarney.

Luc Vincent, VP Engineering, Lyft

Luc Vincent is VP of Engineering at Lyft, where he leads the company’s Autonomous Driving division. His responsibilities include leadership of the “Lyft Level 5” group, focused on building a full hardware & software state-of-the-art self-driving stack. In addition, his team is making the company’s platform available to network partners, ie autonomous car providers. He also leads the company’s efforts in the area of mapping. Prior to Lyft, Luc spent 12 years at Google, most recently as Sr Director of Engineering.

Manuela Papadopol, CEO Designated Driver

In addition to her role as CEO of Designated Driver, she serves as an advisory board member for Automobility LA where she pioneered the event’s Top 10 Automotive Startup Competition. Manuela also sits on the advisory board for Udacity.As co-founder of Sansea Consulting, she has provided guidance to a range of automotive companies and startups. Previously, Manuela led the global marketing effort as director of business development and communications at Elektrobit, establishing the company’s worldwide reach.

Bobby Hambrick, CEO Autonomous Stuff

Bobby Hambrick is the founder and CEO of AutonomouStuff, a leader in the automotive and technology industry. Hambrick founded AutonomouStuff in 2010 to serve the growing interest in automated vehicles in various markets including automotive, mining, military, agriculture, aerospace and academia. Hambrick is one of the first to develop and bring to market an automated R&D vehicle. As a single founder, Hambrick has grown the company like no other in the automotive industry: triple-digit growth for the last three years. AS posted sales of $45M in 2018 and was recently acquired by Hexagon. 

Dragos Macucia, Director, Ford R&D Silicon Valley

Dragos Maciuca is the Technical Director at Ford’s Research and Innovation Center in Palo Alto.  He is an experienced engineer and management professional, with more than 20 years of professional experience in Silicon Valley spanning a breadth of industries including automotive (BMW and Nissan), consumer electronics (Apple), semiconductor manufacturing (KLA-Tencor) and aerospace (Lockheed Martin).  He has extensive experience advising startups, developing and commercializing products, collaborating with universities and leading cross-functional teams.

Danny Shapiro, Senior Director of Automotive, NVIDIA

Danny Shapiro is NVIDIA’s Senior Director of Automotive, focusing on solutions that enable faster and better design of automobiles, as well as in-vehicle solutions for infotainment, navigation and driver assistance. He’s a 25-year veteran of the computer graphics and semiconductor industries and has been with NVIDIA since 2009. Prior to NVIDIA, Danny served in marketing, business development and engineering roles at ATI, 3Dlabs, Silicon Graphics and Digital Equipment.
