Anthony Germanchev leads the Advanced Technologies Lab at the Australian Road Research Board. The Advanced Technologies Lab collects, shares and analyses data and provide road managers with insights about the performance of their roads and infrastructure.
Anthony has over 15 years’ experience in the roads and road transport industry delivering research outcomes for road managers both locally in Australia and internationally. Anthony has a degree in Robotics and Mechatronics and has applied this knowledge to research in the areas of on-board vehicle technologies, road asset data and automated vehicles. Anthony’s breadth of knowledge includes road assets and safety, pavement impacts and on-road performance of vehicles. Anthony led the Austroads CAP6088 research team which rated roads through the eyes of an autonomous vehicle and was the first CAV readiness audit of Australian roads.
