Boyd Cohen obtained his PhD in strategy and entrepreneurship in the University of Colorado in 2001. Since then he has balanced academic and entrepreneurial pursuits in the Americas and Europe. He has published three books on sustainable entrepreneurship and urban innovation and dozens of peer reviewed articles. Boyd moved to Barcelona in 2015 where he became Dean of Research at EADA Business School and then left academia behind as he co-founded Iomob, a next generation Mobility as a Service/Mobility on Demand platform offered to major public and private transportation and travel industry organizations. Iomob has won several mobility industry awards (e.g. Innovator of the Year for TravelTech Europe, ERTICO Public Choice Award and more), participated in prestigious accelerators including Techstars and Wayra and has deployed its technology integrating major public and private mobility services throughout the world including in Sweden, Spain, the UK and New Zealand.
