Sharada Strasmore

Shared Micromobility Planner, District Department of Transportation (DDOT)

Sharada Strasmore is a Shared Micromobility Planner at District Department of Transportation. Her portfolio of dockless bike and scootershare includes managing the current permit process, imagining dockless programs of the future, and planning for how new mobility can exist in public space. Sharada’s passion for urban planning and active mobility came from experiencing the District on foot and by bike. Prior to joining DDOT, Sharada was a Capital City Fellow who rotated through the District Department of Human Services, Family Services Administration and the District Department of Transportation on both the Circulator and dockless teams. Prior to that she worked at Goldman Sachs and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Sharada graduated with her Masters in City and Regional Planning from the Catholic University of America and B.A. from Wheaton College, Massachusetts.
