Director of Consumer Affairs at the AA

Conor Faughnan is Director of Consumer Affairs at the AA.  He is the AA’s media spokesman on matters related to roads, transport, safety and motoring consumer issues. He has worked on a succession of projects relating to road safety, including the redrafting of the Rules of the Road and the introduction of metric speed limits, and is vice-chairman of the Policy Advisory Board of the RSA. He is a well known commentator and lobbyist on transport issues.

He was educated at St. Michael’s College Ballsbridge and at UCD, and holds a Masters’ Degree from Trinity College School of Business. He is married with three children and lives in Knocklyon, Dublin.
